We have mandated all hospitals to treat accident victims without asking for any advance payment.
No hospital can refuse treatment and those that do will be violating the law and action will be taken.
Accident victims includes not just road mishaps but also accidental or induced burns or poisoning or criminal assaults and the like which are medico legal or potential medico legal cases.
They can be treated upto 7 days with govt contributing ₹1.5L and in today’s cabinet we have also added a top up of ₹1lakh if it is needed.
